Christmas Decorating Ideas
There are only a few weeks to go until Christmas, so the Ben Bailey team have all been looking for new ways to dress up our homes ready for the festivities, and create a welcoming space for family and friends.
So to help you inject some Christmas cheer into your home, here are some of our favourite ways to decorate for Christmas.
Take inspiration from nature
Look beyond the tree to create a cosy atmosphere this Christmas by bringing the outside in and using elements from nature in your decor.
Using holly branches, evergreen garlands and winterberry on your mantelpiece is an easy way to add life and festive flair to the living room, while adding small gold toned decorations (such as bells) and copper wire fairy lights is a great way to add warmth and modernise the look.
Displaying vases and baskets filled with frosted pine cones and branches can also make for both a fun DIY project with your children and a way to bring the charm of wintery woodlands indoors.
Welcoming entrance hallways
Kick start the festivities as soon as your guests step into your home by extending your decorations to the entrance and hallways.
Give your guests a warm welcome with twinkling lights, cinnamon scented candles and vases filled with colourful baubles on a side table. And framing the entryway with festive bunting will create a homely feel the moment you step inside.
Create a festive centrepiece
Come Christmas day, the dining room is the heart of many of our homes, so creating a stunning centrepiece is a fantastic way to welcome your family to the table.
Start with a table runner as a base and then build up your centrepiece using small decorative items such beaded garlands, foliage with pine cones and fine wire fairy lights. Or if you’re hosting a busy family get together, using a rich toned tablecloth with Christmas patterned cloth napkins and LED tea lights along the table will give a beautiful festive look, without compromising on function.
