Ben Bailey works for the West Riding Road Company and marries Winifred Denton in Elsecar, Barnsley.
1937
Ben Bailey builds his first two houses in Mexborough.
1939
A brand new detached Ben Bailey home in Mexborough with drawing room, living room, kitchenette, larder, 3 large bedrooms, bathroom, 2 W.C’s and outside coals! A snip at £575.
1950s
Ben Bailey United! The company football team.
1966
Ben Bailey Construction floats on the London stock market and becomes Ben Bailey plc.
1975
Three generations of the Ben Bailey family - Ben Bailey, son Richard and grandson Jon.
1982
Ben Bailey dies and Richard Bailey (his son) takes over as company Chairman.
1999
Jon Bailey (grandson of Ben Bailey) joins the company.
2005 - 2007
2005: Company revenue hits £100m with 686 homes built in Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire.
2007: Ben Bailey plc sold to Gladedale (later becoming Avant Homes).
2017
Jon Bailey acquires the Ben Bailey name from Avant Homes and brings it under the Conroy Brook Group banner - a company for which he is Director of Sales & Marketing.
2018
First new Ben Bailey Homes site launched in Clowne, Chesterfield.
